3 years 2 months

This month we experienced our first sick trip to the doctor.  I know that’s a long stretch; 3 years 2 months but still.  It was difficult.  She had been complaining about an earache but that quickly went away with some ice cream and huggy bears.  But after an early morning fever and more ear complaining, we took  a trip to the doctor.  Nothing bad, just a sinus and ear infection that quickly cleared up.  She was given a nasal spray which hasn’t proven to be too hard to give her.  She’s better than me because I would hate it.

In a bit of irony this month, Brownlee has told me that Addy talks a lot.

He talks.  A lot.

Her conversations are usually about which Princess she likes the best or the retelling of something interesting that happened at daycare, or a recap of the latest Ninjago episode.  Basic 3 year old stuff.  Just a whooooole lot of it.

Like she was telling me how she doesn’t want to go to school tomorrow (any night) and that she goes to school in Daddy’s car.

“Mommy, why I have to go to school?”
“Well if Mommy has to go to work and Daddy has to go to work, then Addy has to go to school.”
“Mommy you go to your car, you don’t have to go to work.”

That’s when I realized that after I strap Addy into her car seat in Brownlee’s car, she thinks that I just sit in my car all day.  The next time she sees me, I’m in my car picking her up from school, so what else could I have been doing all day but just being in my car.  Threenager logic is fantastic.

We took our first round of Bluebonnet pics, and we got our first use out of our zoo membership.

Good month all around.  Here’s the 3 year 2 month pic.

  1. Things I don't like: whatever they make for dinner << isn't that always the case, no matter how old you are?

Think of all the reading you could do in your car all day? Maybe she's on to something.

  2. You're going to have to take Addy to work with you one day so she can see what Mommy does during her school hours. Too funny!
