Right so there’s no way I was listening to new music this week, so no actual #NewMusicMonday. My DJ friend (read in hipster voice) Flash Gordon Parks made this Prince playlist so here’s a link. Be Blessed.
Saturday night I tuned in to HBO to watch Lemonade by Beyonce. I set it to record cause I didn’t know what I was about to witness and in case there were some dance breakdowns, Addy would love it. (Addy is a tiny Beyhiver.) But that was not the case and now *I* might have to watch it 8 more times and buy the CD (actually buy the CD because I need liner notes always). Tidal is streaming it exclusively for now but you can probably bootleg in your preferred bootlegging manner. However, I implore you to just watch and absorb and NOT read any “hot takes” on it. Twitter is enough.
Here’s the Beyonce Tidal link. Use a TV though if you’re going to watch the visuals (it’s artsy enough to be called “visuals” not a “video”) because a tiny screen won’t do it or you any justice. And I’ve seen several sites claiming to stream it in it’s entirety so do your Googles.
