Reading

So far I am current on my Goodreads challenge! YAY! It’s literally the only goal I set for 2015.  And I lowered it from 30 to 25 books so that will tell you about where I am for setting goals and what not.

Anyway I finally read the new Chuck Palahunik book Beautiful You.  It’s about a line of feminine products that have the tagline “a billion husbands are about to be replaced”.  And while I’m totally familiar with Chuck’s body of work, this one didn’t do it for me.  Like at all.

I’m reading This Is How You Lose Her by Junot Diaz and I made much progress Saturday night. So much so I woke up sore from reading and Brownlee just made the strangest face at me.

Anyway, I need suggestions for more books although I think I’m gonna be reading B.J. Novak’s book next.

Television

PINOOOOOOOOOOOT NOIR.

I binged Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt last week and I’m probably going to just watch it again as many times as I want until they make more.  It’s Tina Fey’s new show and when NBC didn’t pick it up as a mid-season replacement (because where is Marry Me?!) Netflix did and well it’s the best.  It’s about a girl who was kidnapped at 15 and spent the past 15 years in a bunker with a crazy reverend.  She gets out and moves to New York where her roommate is Titus Andromedon.

You might know him as Da’fwan from 30 Rock’s Queen of Jordan.

Anyway the show is perfect and rife with memes on Tumblr.

We also finished House of Cards and are going to start something or another.  I’m still watching Gilmore Girls but at a regular pace because this show was made long long ago (2000) before there was such a thing as binge watching and the characters (read: Lorelai) were not made to be watched 6 hours at a time.

I fell in love with Man Seeking Woman on FXX (which is a thing) and I’m not sure if it will be back for season 2 cause the way season 1 ended was kind perfect.  I don’t recommend the show to everyone because it is full of hyperbole and dark angst and crude and hilarious and perfect.

Community got picked up by Yahoo TV whatever the hell that is, and for some reason I need to download a thing to see it and they only put new episodes up on Tuesdays? Like…what?  #sixseasonsandamovie

Blogging

I think I want a new theme. But who doesn’t.

And reading more makes me want to write more and I’ve been thinking about it so we’ll count that as progress.  I have bought like 6 more new notebooks but it’s always good to have paper because Robot Revolution.

I’ll work on it.
